For those who drive into any major city during a weekday, you will know that traffic congestion during rush hour can cause long delays in your travel time. If an author doesn't take simple factors like this into consideration when they are writing a book, they may upset the reader and the reader may just put the book down and never pick it up again - so getting the details such as travel times right is really important.
